1. Job Overview

A Branch Sales Executive in Commercial Credit Card is responsible for selling commercial credit cards to business clients, corporate customers, SMEs, and self-employed professionals. This role involves generating leads, interacting with customers, understanding their business requirements, and offering suitable credit card solutions . The position demands strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to achieve monthly sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to compliance guidelines.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Commercial Credit Card Sales

  • Promote and sell commercial credit cards to businesses, corporate clients, and professionals.
  • Approach walk-in business customers at the branch and provide information on available card options.
  • Generate leads through branch referrals, outbound calls, business networking, and client visits .
  • Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets .
  • Offer customized solutions based on business needs, credit limits, and reward benefits.

B. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with SMEs, startups, and corporate clients to understand their financial needs.
  • Educate customers about credit card features, benefits, usage limits, and repayment cycles .
  • Handle customer queries, guide them through the application process, and provide post-sales support.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and activation of issued cards.

C. Lead Generation & Business Development

  • Identify potential business customers within the branch vicinity and via field visits.
  • Develop a strong business network to generate qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for cross-selling additional banking products like business loans, current accounts, and payment solutions.
  • Participate in branch-level campaigns and corporate tie-ups to drive commercial card sales.

D. Documentation & Compliance

  • Collect and verify KYC documents and financial statements required for commercial credit card applications.
  • Ensure all forms are filled accurately and submitted within defined timelines.
  • Follow RBI guidelines, bank policies, and regulatory compliance standards .
  • Maintain accurate records of customer data and application status in the bank s CRM system.

E. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports .
  • Update application status and customer leads in the branch database.
  • Work closely with the Branch Sales Manager to plan and execute business strategies.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

A. Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of commercial credit cards and business financial products.
  • Basic understanding of business banking operations, credit limits, and risk assessment .
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and MS Office for reporting.
