Node.js Developer

Introduction

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Node.js Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in server-side JavaScript , RESTful API development , and backend architecture using Node.js. The role requires collaborating closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to build scalable, efficient, and high-performing applications . Key Responsibilities

1. Backend Development

• Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side applications using Node.js.
• Create reusable, efficient, and testable modules and components .
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications and third-party services.
• Implement scalable architecture to handle high volumes of traffic and data.

2. Database Management

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Design efficient database schemas and optimize query performance.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and reliability.

3. API Development & Integration

• Develop RESTful APIs for mobile and web applications .
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and authentication systems.
• Ensure proper versioning, documentation, and testing of APIs.

4. Performance Optimization

• Monitor application performance and debug critical backend issues .
• Optimize Node.js processes for speed, reliability, and scalability .
• Implement caching strategies to reduce server load and enhance performance.

5. Security & Compliance

• Implement security best practices in Node.js applications, including data encryption, token-based authentication, and secure session handling.
• Protect against common vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, and DDoS attacks .
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company security policies.

6. Testing & Debugging

• Write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Mocha, Jest, or Jasmine .
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices .
• Debug and resolve software bugs and production issues in a timely manner.

7. Collaboration & Teamwork

• Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing within the team.
