Required Accountant - Chandigarh

Job Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for handling end-to-end accounting, bookkeeping, statutory compliances, and taxation for clients associated with the CA firm. The role involves preparing financial statements, filing returns, maintaining books of accounts, and ensuring compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, and other statutory regulations . The candidate must have hands-on experience in Tally and be familiar with company-related compliances and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

A. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts using Tally and other accounting software.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and verify their accuracy.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and debtor/creditor balances .
• Manage general ledger entries, journals, and trial balances .

B. Taxation & GST Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) within statutory deadlines.
• Handle input tax credit reconciliation and resolve mismatches.
• Assist in GST assessments, notices, and appeals when required.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax planning for clients as per current tax laws.

C. Income Tax & TDS

• Prepare and file Income Tax Returns for individuals, firms, and companies.
• Manage TDS calculations, deductions, and returns filing .
• Assist clients with tax-saving strategies and year-end tax computations.
• Liaise with tax authorities in case of assessments, audits, or queries.

D. Payroll & PF/ESI Compliances

• Process monthly salary calculations and maintain employee payroll records.
• Calculate and deposit PF, ESI, and other statutory contributions on time.
• File PF/ESI returns and ensure compliance with labor laws.

E. Company Law & ROC Compliances

• Assist in preparing statutory documents required for company incorporation, filings, and modifications.
• Coordinate with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) for timely submissions.
• Maintain compliance with Companies Act, 2013 and related statutory requirements.

F. Audit Support & Client Coordination

• Assist senior auditors in preparing audit schedules and working papers.
• Coordinate with clients to collect required information and documents.
• Ensure smooth and timely completion of statutory, internal, and tax audits.

G. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all accounting and tax activities.
• Provide detailed reports to management and clients regarding compliance status.
