Accounts Or Audit Assistant

Key Responsibilities

A. Accounting Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and journals.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software like Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations and vendor account statements.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and payment follow-ups.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

B. Audit Assistance

• Support in planning, execution, and completion of statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and GST audits.
• Review financial documents, vouchers, and supporting records for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare audit working papers and schedules as required by auditors.
• Identify variances, discrepancies, and irregularities during audits and report findings to senior auditors.
• Assist in ensuring timely completion of audit deliverables.

C. Taxation and Compliance

• Assist in GST computation, return preparation, and filing within statutory deadlines.
• Support in preparing TDS returns, income tax filings, and other statutory compliances.
• Maintain documentation for tax assessments and respond to tax authorities as directed.
• Keep updated with changes in taxation laws, GST provisions, and accounting standards.

D. Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and MIS (Management Information Systems) reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management regarding cost control and budget utilization.
• Prepare cash flow statements and help monitor liquidity positions.

Skills & Competencies Required

A. Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing techniques, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Understanding of statutory compliances such as GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
• Good command of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and data analysis.
