Job Summary:
The Delivery Boy is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of parcels, documents, and packages for Blue Dart Courier. This role involves handling shipments, navigating delivery routes efficiently, interacting courteously with customers, and maintaining records of deliveries. As a direct Blue Dart employee, the delivery boy will follow company policies, payroll guidelines, and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities:

1. Parcel Pickup and Delivery:
   • Pick up parcels from the Blue Dart hub, warehouses, or clients as per schedule.
   • Deliver packages to customers at designated locations in a timely and professional manner.
   • Ensure the correct handling of parcels, maintaining safety and integrity during transit.
2. Customer Interaction:
   • Provide courteous and professional service to customers during deliveries.
   • Handle customer queries or issues regarding deliveries and escalate complex cases to the supervisor.
   • Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients and ensure accurate documentation.
3. Route Planning and Navigation:
   • Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
   • Use GPS, maps, or route planning tools to optimize travel time and fuel efficiency.
   • Adjust routes as needed based on traffic, weather, or delivery priorities.
4. Parcel Handling and Safety:
   • Handle all parcels carefully, avoiding damage, loss, or misplacement.
   • Ensure adherence to safety standards while carrying, loading, or unloading packages.
   • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the delivery vehicle.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of parcels picked up, delivered, or returned.
   • Report any delays, issues, or customer complaints promptly to supervisors.
   • Submit delivery logs, invoices, or reports to the Blue Dart hub as required.
6. Compliance and Professionalism:
   • Adhere to Blue Dart s operational guidelines, safety policies, and code of conduct.
   • Wear the prescribed uniform and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
   • Follow company payroll procedures, attendance rules, and shift schedules.

Skills and Competencies:

• Valid driver s license (two-wheeler or four-wheeler depending on delivery requirements).
• Good knowledge of local routes and addresses.
• Physical stamina to handle packages and travel for long hours.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.
• Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
