Job Summary:
Performs assignments that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.Exercises limited but increasing judgment in performing assigned tasks.Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

Provide technical direction as appropriate to drafters, technicians and GETs and Junior Engineers who perform specific design support assignments.

Maintains contact with the immediate work group or discipline and interfaces with other disciplines as specifically directed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Design Criteria for Controls and Instrumentation.
- Development and Review of P and IDs
- Preparation of Instrument Index, Data Sheet, Wiring and Loop Diagrams in SPI.
- Preparation of datasheets of various commodities like Pressure, Flow, Level, Temperature or any other Miscellaneous items, Control valves , ON/Off valves, Steam turbine Bypass valves and Motor Operated Valves
- Performs control valve, flow element and thermowell sizing calculations.
- Preparation of Technical Specification, Technical interrogatives, Technical Bid, Analysis (TBA) of the various Suppliers offers for various instruments like: Transmitters, Temperature Elements, Mass flow meters, etc.
- Preparation of Material Requisition and vendor print review of control system commodities (like Flow, level, pressure, temperature etc.)
- Preparation of Instrumentation Specification for Mechanical Packages
- Design and procurement of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems(CEMS) and Steam and Water Analysis Systems (SWAS)
- Review of vendor prints for various vendor packages (HRSG, ST, GT, Main steam, BFW /condensate pumps)
- Preparation of Level Sketches and Cable Block Diagrams.
