Job Summary:
In this role, you will support overall estimate generation and consolidation as directed by E and I Estimating leads and Project Estimator following standard processes and procedures. You will assist in the preparation of Electrical and Instrumentation cost estimates, trend estimates, and life cycle cost estimates. Your work ensures accurate cost estimations and will be essential in driving project profitability and excellence in a competitive market.
Major Responsibilities:
Direct Discipline
:
Performs Electrical and Instrumentation discipline capital cost estimates.
:
Coordinates Engineering teams for quantity takeoffs. Resolve queries on takeoffs and establish a firm basis of quantities for scope and quantity reviews..

Participates in establishing pricing structures to be applied to quantities for estimates. Ensures that estimate is in line with market trends and pricing.

Applies unit rates (cost and job hour) to quantities and performs portions of the total cost estimate within a discipline or commodity specialty using standard estimating templates.

Provides input to estimate basis documentation capturing assumptions, rationale, scope inclusions and exclusions for specific contributions.

Helps reporting efforts and estimate summary presentations for estimate reviews.

Quantifies and spreads escalation based on project schedule and estimated costs.

Researches, develops and maintains costs, quantities, ratios and metrics of the historical cost databases pertaining to specific section.

Understands the data and various sources of data. Extracts non:standard data and formulates the data into comparative summary format for analysis.

Inputs cost data into the historical cost databases. Files completed estimates with all relevant back:up documentation.
