Key Responsibilities: You will oversee a complicated portfolio of past-due and rejected medical claims on your own. This entails calling insurance companies (payers) to enquire about the status of claims, determine the reasons for nonpayment or denial, and submit the required paperwork (appeals, updated claims) for resolution. As the only owner of certain accounts receivable targets, you will be responsible for carefully recording follow-up actions in the billing system and making sure that payer and HIPAA laws are strictly followed.
