Position Summary:The Director of Sales - Banquets & Events leads all sales efforts for the hotel s banqueting and event spaces. The role focuses on driving revenue, building key client relationships, and ensuring seamless coordination between sales and operations for successful event execution.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve banquet and event revenue targets.- Identify new business opportunities across corporate, social, and wedding segments.- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, proposals, negotiations, contracting, and post-event follow-up.- Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and presentations to secure business.- Collaborate with operations, F&B, and banquet teams to ensure smooth event delivery.- Lead, coach, and develop the banquets and events sales team.- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to optimize pricing and packages.- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and budgets.Qualifications:- Bachelor s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.- 6-10 years of hotel sales experience, including leadership in banquets/events.- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.- Experience with sales systems such as Delphi, Opera, or similar.
