Senior Buyer: Strategic Sourcing And Indirect

Summary
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for leading and executing the procurement strategy with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management. The Senior Buyer will work closely with cross:functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal, to identify and select suppliers that meet the companys quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The Senior Buyer will also work cross functionally to identify opportunities to improve supply security, net working capital, and total cost of ownership for parts procured outside of the plante and for global sites looking to source product from the plant.
:Lead strategic category management for both direct and indirect spend for India
:Responsible for achieving KPIs relating to Cost, Quality, Service, and Supplier Management
:Drive the development and implementation of global category strategies
:Develop and implement standard procurement policies and procedures within assigned categories of responsibility
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize costs, mitigate risks, and improve supplier performance
:Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and on:time delivery of goods and services
:Collaborate with cross:functional teams to establish requirements, specifications, and criteria for supplier selection
:Lead supplier performance management activities, including scorecard reviews, business reviews, and supplier development programs
:Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
:Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate supplier capabilities and negotiate contracts and pricing
:Manage procurement projects from inception to completion, including supplier selection, contracting, and supplier onboarding
:Ensure compliance with, and use of, global and local contracts
:Drive annual cost improvement projects with key suppliers focused on total cost of ownership
:Secure compliance to Hyperion Supplier Code of Conduct
:Issue PO 's and manage open orders as required
:Coordinate with planning and production to mitigate supply disruptions

Education and/or Work Experience
:Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or a related field
:Fluent in English
:5 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a proven track record of driving cost savings and improving supplier performance
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
:Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
:Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions
:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
:Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast:paced environment
:Experience working with global suppliers and managing international supply chains
:Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software systems
:Experience working with ERP and MRP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Infor M3.
