Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Designer / Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Gurgaon/ Gurugram.
Employment Type : Fixed Term Contract : 12months

As the successful candidate, you will:

:Be responsible for the production of mechanical equipment layouts, models and drawings in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Lead Mechanical Engineer
:Have sound knowledge in the design of project specific mechanical components or systems, as well as fundamental knowledge of the plant processes.
:Understand the owner/user requirements and the project mission
:Assist in interpreting the plant PFDs, P and IDs, and plant battery limits and constraints
:Coordinate the work of draftspersons and senior draftspersons in the preparation of contract drawings, record keeping and monitoring
:Perform conceptual layout work as well as check drawings prior to release
:Develop design details of standard design elements
:Prepare 3D equipment modeling and 3D design
:Generating 2D drawings from the 3D model as required by the project
:Perform the design and drafting of mechanical plant models using applicable standards, project technical specifications and enterprise or project procedures.
:Execute designs following the mechanical and layout design criteria developed
:Use vendor data, drawings and information to develop and verify the model
:Create and maintain check sheets for all equipment as vendor data is received. Back model all changes as required.
:Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models
:Provide material quantity takeoffs for estimating purposes or inclusion into bulk commodity purchases and installation contracts
:Conduct operability and maintainability reviews, walkthroughs. Familiarity with HAZOP studies will be an advantage.
You bring to the role:

:Engineering diploma, degree or equivalent (mechanical)
:Extensive experience between 5to 20 yrs
:Exposure in Bentley OpenPlant preferred. At least exposure to similar 3D software is must
:Experience within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
