Job Description
Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly experienced Pre-Sales Security Consultant to support enterprise customers by designing, positioning, and proposing end-to-end cybersecurity solutions. The role is purely Pre-Sales, involving customer interaction, solution architecture, BOQ/BOM preparation, and technical bid support.This position does NOT involve implementation, L2/L3 support, or operations. Candidates from pure engineering or deployment backgrounds will not be considered.Key Responsibilities :Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement :- Engage with enterprise customers to understand business requirements, security challenges, and IT infrastructure- Conduct technical discussions, solution walkthroughs, and presentations for customers and internal stakeholders- Act as a trusted technical advisor during the sales cycleSolution Design & Architecture :- Design end-to-end enterprise security architectures aligned with customer requirements- Recommend appropriate security technologies and configurations- Prepare high-level & low-level solution designs (HLD/LLD) where required- Align solutions with industry best practices and compliance standardsBOQ / BOM & Proposal Support :- Prepare detailed BOQ / BOM, sizing, and cost estimates- Support RFP / RFQ / RFI responses with accurate technical inputs- Work closely with the sales team on commercial and technical proposals- Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for pricing, deal registrations, and approvalsOEM & Partner Collaboration :- Liaise with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, and Check Point teams- Stay updated on product roadmaps, licensing models, and competitive positioning- Support PoC / Demo planning from a solutioning perspective (execution by engineering teams)Internal Collaboration :- Work closely with sales, product, and delivery teams- Ensure smooth handover of finalized solutions to the delivery/implementation teams- Provide internal training and knowledge sharing when requiredMandatory Technical Skills :- Candidates must have strong Pre-Sales expertise in one or more of the following security platforms:- Fortinet (NGFW, UTM, Secure SD-WAN, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)- Palo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama, enterprise security architectures)- Sophos (Firewall, Endpoint, Central Management)- Check Point (Firewall, Threat Prevention, Management Solutions)Required Skills & Competencies- Strong experience in enterprise security solution design- Hands-on expertise in BOQ/BOM preparation and sizing- Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills- Ability to translate business requirements into technical security solutions- Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and threat prevention- Experience working with large enterprise customers and complex environments- Commercial awareness to support deal closures (ref:updazz.com)
