Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and trend-savvy E-commerce Manager to scale our online business for a fast-growing beauty care brand targeting Gen Z consumers. This role will own the D2C website and marketplace performance, drive customer acquisition and retention, and create high-converting, content-led shopping experiences aligned with Gen Z culture and values.Key ResponsibilitiesE-commerce Growth & Strategy- Own and grow D2C and marketplace revenue with a strong focus on Gen Z customers- Build and execute e-commerce growth strategies aligned with brand, content, and community goals- Drive product launches, drops, and limited-edition campaigns- Own online P&L, pricing, and promotional strategy- Website, App & Social Commerce- Manage D2C website (Shopify or similar) with a strong focus on mobile-first UX- Optimize PDPs using short-form video, UGC, reviews, and influencer content- Drive social commerce initiatives across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shopping- Collaborate with tech and design teams to test new features, quizzes, AR, or skin/hair diagnostic toolsPerformance Marketing & CRO :- Partner with performance marketing teams on paid social, creator-led ads, and retargeting- Continuously optimize conversion rate, AOV, and repeat purchase through A/B testing- Leverage bundles, subscriptions, loyalty programs, and gamified offersContent, Community & Brand Alignment :- Work closely with brand, influencer, and content teams to ensure storytelling converts to sales- Align campaigns with Gen Z trends, memes, pop culture, and creator moments- Support community-building initiatives such as reviews, referrals, and rewardsAnalytics & Insights :- Track and analyze metrics including traffic, conversion, ROAS, CAC, LTV, repeat rate, and cohort behavior- Use consumer insights to improve assortment, pricing, and merchandising- Monitor trends in beauty tech, clean beauty, sustainability, and Gen Z preferencesOperations & CX Excellence- Coordinate inventory, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery to ensure fast, seamless experiences- Own customer journey across discovery, purchase, unboxing, and post-purchase engagement- Collaborate with customer support to resolve issues and improve NPSRequired Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field- 3-6 years of experience in D2C e-commerce, beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands- Hands-on experience with Shopify, marketplaces, and social commerce tools- Strong understanding of Gen Z consumer behavior and digital trends- Experience with performance marketing, CRO, and analytics tools (GA4, Meta, Google Ads)- Excellent collaboration and execution skills in fast-paced environmentsPreferred Qualifications- Experience working in beauty, skincare, haircare, or wellness brands- Familiarity with influencer marketing and creator-led commerce- Knowledge of subscriptions, loyalty, and retention programs- Passion for beauty, pop culture, and emerging digital platforms (ref:updazz.com)
