Job Description
Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) - Large Kitchen AppliancesLocation: Ahmedabad (Gujarat) / Chennai (Tamil Nadu)Industry: Consumer Durables / Large Kitchen AppliancesFunction: Sales & Channel ManagementJob PurposeTo drive secondary sales, strengthen channel distribution, and expand market share for large kitchen appliances (chimneys, hobs, built-in appliances, ovens, dishwashers, etc.) across the assigned territory by managing distributors, dealers, and on-roll sales teams.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development- Achieve secondary sales targets for large kitchen appliances in the assigned territory- Drive sell-out through distributors and retail partners- Expand dealer network and appoint new channel partners where required- Plan and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plansChannel Management- Manage and develop distributors, dealers, and modern trade partners- Monitor distributor stock, billing, and market coverage- Ensure healthy primary-to-secondary conversion- Handle channel schemes, incentives, and promotionsTeam Management- Lead and manage 5-6 on-roll sales executives / officers- Conduct regular market visits and joint calls- Coach and motivate team to improve productivity and coverage- Review daily/weekly performance and corrective actionsMarket Execution & Promotion- Implement BTL activities, product demos, and retail visibility programs- Ensure proper branding, display, and merchandising at retail outlets- Track competitor activities, pricing, and schemesReporting & Coordination- Prepare sales MIS, forecasts, and market intelligence reports- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and service teams- Ensure smooth order execution and after-sales support (ref:updazz.com)
