Job Description
Position: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO / Board of DirectorsLocation: Raipur or New DelhiIndustry Exposure: Mining | Metals | Alumina | Food Processing / FMCGExperience: 15 - 20 Years (with senior leadership experience across industrial & consumer sectors)Qualification: MBA (Marketing / Strategy) from a reputed institute; Engineering background preferred for Mining/Metals exposureKey Responsibilities:1. Group Marketing & Growth Strategy:- Develop and execute integrated marketing and growth strategies across Mining, Metals, Alumina, and Food divisions.- Define market entry, expansion, and diversification strategies for domestic and international markets.- Drive demand generation, market positioning, and customer acquisition across B2B and B2C segments.2. Business Development & Revenue Growth:- Lead Top-line growth initiatives, pricing strategies, and volume expansion plans.- Identify new customer segments, strategic partnerships, and long-term contracts.- Support leadership in M&A evaluation, JV discussions, and strategic alliances from a market perspective.3. Brand & Market Positioning:- Build and strengthen corporate and product brands across industrial and consumer portfolios.- Ensure consistent brand communication across all channels-digital, trade, institutional, and retail.- Position the group as a trusted, sustainable, and innovation-driven enterprise.4. Sector-Specific Leadership: Mining & Metals / Alumina (B2B):- Lead marketing and sales strategy for Bulk commodities, long-term offtake agreements, and institutional buyers.- Manage key accounts including steel plants, smelters, OEMs, and export customers.- Track global commodity trends, pricing mechanisms, and demand-supply dynamics. Food Division (B2C / B2B):- Drive go-to-market strategy for Branded food products, private labels, and institutional sales.- Oversee channel strategy across modern trade, general trade, HoReCa, e-commerce, and exports.- Lead consumer insights, product positioning, and promotional strategy.5. Sales Leadership & Organization Building:- Build, mentor, and lead high-performance sales and marketing teams across divisions.- Set clear KPIs, incentive structures, and performance governance mechanisms.- Foster a customer-centric, data-driven, and accountable culture.6. Market Intelligence & Analytics:- Monitor Global and domestic market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.- Use analytics and insights to guide pricing, promotions, portfolio decisions, and capacity planning.7. Stakeholder & Board Engagement:- Present strategic plans, performance dashboards, and growth initiatives to the Board and senior leadership.- Engage with key customers, industry bodies, trade associations, and government stakeholders.Preferred Candidate Profile:- Experience in Mining, Metals, Alumina, and Food sectors is mandatory.- Prior role as CMO / EVP / Head - Marketing & Sales in large groups or conglomerates preferred.- Exposure to International markets and exports is a strong advantage.
