What role you will play in our team
The Data Warehouse Engineer is part of a global product team that provides support, configuration, administration, and lifecycle planning for ExxonMobils implementations of Snowflake. The role will build extensive knowledge of Snowflake and SQL as well as experience with cloud:based architecture.
What you will do
:Perform Data Warehouse engineering activities on multiple Snowflake warehouses
:Work with customers to resolve database related issues
:Work Service Now tickets with the ability to troubleshoot resolutions
:Ability to provide consultation on issue analysis related to data integrity and performance of ETL job.
:Provide early testing of new features and services
:Implement and monitor Snowflake best practices
:Provide guidance on Snowflake upgrades, optimization, debugging and capacity planning
:Understanding of security protocols (i.e. Kerberos, SSL, etc)
:Understanding of Agile
:Strong problem solving skills
:Experience with cloud infrastructure administration (Azure,AWS)
:Hands:on experience working with SQL
:Quick learner and adaptive to the change
:Ability to explore new tools in the data space, Performce POC 's, Set standards for the wider implemenation
About you
Skills and Qualifications
:Bachelors degree in engineering from a recognized university
:Minimum 6 years of experience in performing Data Warehouse engineering activities on multiple Snowflake warehouses
:Hands:on experienceproviding consultation on issue analysis related to data integrity and performance of ETL job.
:Must have knowledge in providing guidance on Snowflake upgrades, optimization, debugging and capacity planning
:Ability to provide consultation on issue analysis related to data integrity and performance of ETL job
