Executive - Tendering - Steel (1-2 Yrs) Mumbai (Pre-Sales)

Key Responsibilities :- Handle end-to-end tendering process on GeM portal for steel products (TMT bars, structural steel, sheets, coils, pipes, etc.).- Regularly monitor GeM portal for new bids, BOQs, RFQs, and reverse auctions relevant to steel products.- Prepare and submit online bids, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.- Manage technical and commercial bid documentation, including specifications, certifications, test reports, and compliance statements.- Coordinate with internal teams (sales, accounts, logistics, production) for pricing, delivery timelines, and approvals.- Handle GeM vendor profile management, including catalog creation, product uploads, price updates, and compliance changes.- Participate in reverse auctions and bid negotiations on GeM.- Track tender status, order awards, and follow up with government buyers.- Maintain records of tenders, bids submitted, results, and performance reports.- Ensure compliance with government procurement norms, GeM policies, and steel industry standards.- Assist in order execution coordination post tender award, if required.Required Skills & Competencies :- Strong working knowledge of GeM portal operations.- In-depth understanding of steel products and specifications.- Experience in handling government tenders and public sector buyers.- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic data analysis.- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.- Good communication and coordination skills.- Ability to work under strict deadlines.Qualifications :- Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.- Mandatory experience in steel industry tendering.
