Role: Business Development & Consulting Manager - HR Strategy & ODFirm: CHRO Consulting (Boutique HR & People Advisory)Location: New Delhi (with travel as required)Reporting To: Founder / Partner - CHRO ConsultingRole Context- CHRO Consulting is a boutique HR advisory firm working closely with Founders, Boards, CHROs, and CXOs on people strategy, organization design, rewards, and leadership effectiveness. The firm operates through deep diagnostic-led engagements, customized solutions, and long-term advisory relationships.- The Business Development & Consulting Manager will play a dual role-driving client acquisition through consultative engagement and contributing directly to the design and delivery of HR strategy and organizational development interventions.- This role is ideal for a professional who is equally comfortable holding conversations with CXOs, structuring solutions, and executing high-impact consulting work.Key Responsibilities1. Client Development & Relationship Management- Build and sustain long-term relationships with CXOs, CHROs, and business leaders across mid-to-large organizations- Identify client needs through structured diagnostic conversations rather than transactional selling- Support the Founder/Partner in originating, shaping, and closing consulting engagements- Drive repeat and extended engagements through high-quality delivery and trusted-advisor positioning2. Consulting Solutioning & Proposal Development- Co-create customized HR Strategy and OD solutions aligned to client business priorities- Develop high-quality proposals, concept notes, capability decks, and engagement frameworks- Translate complex people challenges into clear problem statements, solution pathways, and measurable outcomes- Support client presentations and pitch discussions with senior leadership teams3. HR Strategy & OD Consulting Delivery- Execute end-to-end consulting engagements, including:- Organizational diagnosis and role clarity- Performance Management and goal-setting frameworks- Total Rewards, compensation structures, incentive and variable pay design- Leadership effectiveness, governance, and decision-rights frameworks- HR analytics, dashboards, and people metrics- Work closely with client HR and business teams to implement solutions through structured plans and milestones- Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to organizational maturity4. CXO & Senior Stakeholder Engagement- Participate in Board-level, CXO, and senior HR leadership discussions- Prepare insight-driven presentations, reports, and recommendations for leadership audiences- Act as a thought partner to senior stakeholders on people and organization matters5. Internal Capability & Knowledge Building- Contribute to building CHRO Consulting s IP, frameworks, and toolkits- Support mentoring of interns or junior team members on analytics, documentation, and consulting rigor- Assist in refining consulting methodologies and delivery standards in line with boutique best practicesIdeal Candidate ProfileEducation & Experience1. MBA in Human Resources / Organizational Development from a reputed institute2. 1-3 years of experience in HR consulting, OD consulting, or HR advisory roles3. Prior exposure to business development, solution design, and client-facing consulting4. Experience working with senior stakeholders (CXO / HR Head level) preferredCore Competencies1. Consultative business development mindset (problem-first, solution-led)2. Strong understanding of HR Strategy, PMS, Rewards, and Organizational Design3. High analytical capability with strong structuring and storytelling skills4. Excellent communication and executive presence5. Comfort working in a lean, high-accountability boutique environment6.
