Your main goal is to conduct in-depth data analysis to determine the "why" behind unpaid claims, in contrast to an AR Caller who concentrates on high-volume phone follow-ups. To stop income leakage, you are in charge of spotting systematic rejection patterns, calculating the financial effect of outdated accounts, and giving the coding and billing teams useful information. The ideal applicant is an analytical powerhouse with a solid understanding of medical billing procedures and a track record of converting intricate aging reports into effective recovery plans. Responsibilities: Trend Analysis & Reporting: Examine "A/R Aging Reports" on a weekly and monthly basis to find recurrent denial patterns by provider, payer, or specialty. Denial Management Strategy: Create and put into place standardized procedures for handling complicated denials. High-Value Claim Oversight: Assume direct responsibility for expensive unresolved claims and intricate appeals that need for professional assistance. Process Improvement: Work along with the "Coding" and "Front-End" (Demo/Charge Entry) teams to address root-cause problems found during the AR analysis stage. Track and report on insurance payer behavior, such as "Mean Time to Pay" and "Denial Rates," to support contract negotiations. Write-off & Adjustment Review: Make sure the AR team's write-off and adjustment requests are in line with the company's financial regulations by reviewing and approving (or rejecting) them. Skills: Analytical Mastery: Proficient in using Power Query, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables to work with massive datasets in Microsoft Excel. RCM Lifecycle Knowledge: A thorough comprehension of the entire billing process, from eligibility to the posting of the final payment. Critical Thinking: The capacity to go past a particular denial and pinpoint the systemic weakness that is producing it.
