Job Description
Job Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Support/Strategic Manager to drive corporate-level sales initiatives, enhance key partner relationships, and support the achievement of business growth targets. Based at the corporate office, this role will be instrumental in building strong alliances with partner organizations, negotiating deals, and enabling the frontline sales teams with the tools, insights, strategies needed to succeed, analyzing data, identifying high-potential markets, and driving strategic initiatives to support growth.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance industry, proven experience in managing B2B relationships, and strong business acumen to support decision-making at the highest levels.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Sales Support:1. Drive corporate-level sales strategy in collaboration with regional and channel teams.2. Monitor sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and support action plans to achieve targets.3. Develop and implement business development initiatives focused on expanding partnerships and maximizing revenue.4. Define sales targets for channels, zones, or partners based on historical data, capacity, and opportunity.5. Collaborate with regional sales heads to align planning with field realities and ensure execution.Partner Relationship Management : 1. Build, manage, and grow strategic relationships with key partners (banks, brokers, corporate agents, etc.).2. Liaise with senior officials and decision-makers in partner organizations to secure favorable business terms and long-term engagement.3. Represent the company in high-level meetings and negotiations, ensuring mutual value creation.Business Analysis & Reporting1. Analyze sales data, partner performance, and market trends to provide actionable insights.2. Track and report on KPIs related to partner-driven sales performance.3. Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and business reviews for internal stakeholders and partners.4. Present strategic updates and partner health reports to the leadership team.Sales Enablement & Operational Support :5. Work closely with sales teams to develop and roll out sales tools, training, and communication frameworks.6. Streamline internal processes that support partner onboarding, campaign execution, and issue resolution.7. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between product, marketing, operations, and legal teams to support sales goals.8. Handle and resolve complex queries from sales teams and partner entities promptly and efficiently.Strategic Projects:1. Lead or support corporate initiatives related to new partnerships, digital channel development, or process automation.2. Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and business review cycles with a focus on partner-driven growth.Key Skills & Qualifications :1. Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field (MBA preferred).2. 6-8 years of experience in sales strategy, partner management, or business development in the insurance or financial services industry.3. Strong understanding of insurance distribution channels, especially B2B.4. Proven track record in managing high-value relationships and closing complex deals.5. Team handling will be an added advantage.6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.7. Analytical mindset with proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/sales analytics platforms.8. Ability to work independently while influencing cross-functional teams. (ref:updazz.com)
