Hardware Prototyping: Before going into full-scale production, construct and test breadboard or stripboard prototypes to verify circuit designs. Component Selection: Choose and procure electronic components while keeping lead times, BOM prices, and performance in mind. Support for Embedded Firmware: Work with software teams to combine hardware components and low-level C/C++ firmware for smooth system functioning. Manufacturing Support: Create and install "Bed of Nails" fixtures and automatic test equipment to carry out functional circuit testing on the assembly line. Root Cause Analysis: Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers to examine production flaws or field problems at the component level. DFX: To reduce soldering flaws and assembly complexity, use Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles.
