Lead Engineer : Platform Engineering (5:8 Years) For A Premier Asset Management Company

We are looking for a " Lead Engineer : Platform Engineering "for one of our esteemed Clients for MumbaiLocation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the team on web application security, database schema design, SQL queries and API development.
Develop and maintain secure, resilient, scalable and high performance enterprise systems that facilitate online financial transactions in Mutual Funds.
Develop Restful API 's around the core product to be consumed by the web applications and mobile applications teams.
Constantly and consistently enhance API 's and core product features that impact online sales and onsite engagement.
Design the data schema using both relational and non:relational data stores.
Query and extract data from relational databases using SQL.
Work closely with the web, mobile, platform teams and product manager to implement a versatile, feature complete API layer for the entire business.
Enhance the back end capabilities of our in:house Content Management System.
Analyze system requirements, identify and design service endpoints and implement them in a modular, maintainable manner.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless product experience.
Participate in design and code reviews.
Mentor and lead a team of engineers.
REQUIREMENT :
At least 5 years of experience in software development with product:focused web companies building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
A clear grasp of HTTP and REST concepts and prior experience in development and maintenance of a service oriented system (Jersey or Dropwizard experience a plus)
A thorough knowledge of SQL.
Proficiency in writing code in at least one object:oriented programming language such as Java, Python or C .
Deep understanding of data:driven web application design and development.
Must be a fast, efficient coder and make coding and design decisions with multiple simultaneous dimensions in mind.
Knowledge of object:oriented design, data structures and algorithm design.
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities.
Self:starter and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
