Required Senior Accountant, Chennai

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities.
Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by junior staff.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline financial operations.
Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff as needed.
Support senior management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Experience in Handling GST,ITR,Audit
Qualifications:
Bachelor 's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior level position.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in financial reporting.
