Job Description
Position title : Regional Sales ManagerQualification (must have/desired) : Bachelor s degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) - mandatory- Master s degree in Business Administration (MBA) - preferred- Specialization in Sales, Marketing, or related fields is an advantage- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.- Experience (years) Between 5 -7 years experience - Must have hands-on exposure in Industrial Automation, IoT-based solutions, or Smart Manufacturing environments- Age (years) Around 32-38 yearsPurpose of the Role:- The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving regional business growth by managing sales operations, ensuring revenue achievement, and implementing effective strategies.
-The role includes team leadership, client engagement, market expansion, and establishing a strong foothold in industrial automation and IoT sectors.Key responsibility areas (KRAs) 1. Sales Strategy & Execution:- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company goals- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities- Identify new opportunities in IoT and automation-based segments- Ensure alignment of regional sales strategies with overall company objectives.2. Team Management & Leadership:- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage the regional sales team.- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.- Foster a high-performance sales culture and motivate team members to achieve targets.3. Revenue & Profitability Growth: - Drive revenue and profitability in the industrial automation domain- Analyse sales performance metrics and realign strategies as required- Manage pricing, margins, and sales pipeline effectively4. Client Relationship Management:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.- Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities.5. Market Development & Expansion:- Explore new territories and industry verticals for IoT and automation products- Collaborate with marketing teams to run targeted campaigns- Represent the company in trade events, expos, and client demos6. Sales Operations & Reporting:- Monitor and report sales performance, forecasting, and market analysis.- Ensure accurate sales data management in CRM systems.- Provide insights and recommendations for business improvement to senior management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/KRA:1. Revenue & Sales Growth:- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for the region.- Increase market share and customer acquisition in the assigned territory.2. Team Performance & Development:- Ensure training and skill enhancement of the sales team.- Improve employee engagement and retention within the sales function.3. Customer Satisfaction & Retention:- Maintain high customer satisfaction scores and reduce churn rate.- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and improve service delivery.4. Market Expansion & Competitor Analysis:- Identify and develop new business opportunities.- Monitor and counter competitive activities effectively.5.
