Civil Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Management and Supervision:

• Oversee and manage all construction activities on-site to ensure that the work is progressing as per the project plan and timeline.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of laborers, contractors, subcontractors, and other workers involved in the construction project.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.

2. Quality Control and Assurance:

• Conduct regular inspections of the work to ensure that the construction complies with the project s quality standards.
• Monitor the use of materials and ensure that only approved materials are used on-site.
• Report any discrepancies or defects in the work and initiate corrective actions to ensure adherence to the quality requirements.

3. Safety Management:

• Enforce site safety protocols and ensure that all safety regulations are followed by workers and contractors.
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used and safety measures are in place.
• Actively participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety on-site.

4. Project Planning and Scheduling:

• Assist in the development of detailed construction schedules and ensure that the project milestones are met.
• Monitor daily progress and update the schedule to reflect any delays or changes.
• Coordinate with project managers to make sure that resources, materials, and labor are available on-site as needed.

5. Cost and Budget Management:

• Assist with estimating project costs and maintaining cost control to ensure the project stays within the allocated budget.
• Track expenses related to materials, labor, and equipment to identify potential cost overruns and make recommendations for cost-saving solutions.
• Review and approve invoices from contractors and suppliers, ensuring that the costs align with the project budget.

6. Contractor Coordination and Liaison:

• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project runs smoothly.
• Ensure effective communication between the site team and the project management team to address any challenges and ensure timely resolution.
• Resolve any conflicts or issues between parties involved in the project to maintain a harmonious working environment.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, construction progress reports, and other documentation related to the project.
• Submit regular progress reports to the project manager and ensure that any delays, issues, or changes are documented and communicated.
• Ensure that all project-related paperwork is organized and accessible for future reference.
