Required Construction Foreman - Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision

• Supervise and coordinate activities of construction workers and subcontractors on-site.
• Ensure that tasks are carried out as per drawings, specifications, and instructions from the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Monitor daily work progress and maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Allocate tasks to workers and ensure efficient use of manpower and materials.

2. Planning and Coordination

• Assist in planning daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other foremen to resolve issues and avoid delays.
• Prepare work areas and make necessary arrangements before the start of each shift.

3. Quality Control

• Check the quality of workmanship at every stage and ensure it meets the required standards.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues early and suggest corrective actions.
• Ensure that construction activities are carried out as per technical drawings and BOQs.
• Report any deviations from design or quality issues to the engineer in charge.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Enforce strict safety protocols on-site and ensure all workers use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to raise awareness of job site hazards.
• Monitor site conditions and take immediate action to address unsafe practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site to reduce risks and improve efficiency.

5. Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain daily site logs, including attendance, progress, and issues encountered.
• Submit daily and weekly progress reports to the project team.
• Keep records of materials used, manpower deployed, and equipment utilization.
• Assist in documentation for inspections and approvals from consultants or authorities.

6. Problem Solving and Decision Making

• Resolve minor on-site issues independently and escalate critical matters to supervisors.
• Provide practical solutions to workforce challenges and construction difficulties.
• Ensure timely execution of change orders or design modifications as instructed.
