Fresher Accountant Needed Learn Grow and Build Your Career Job Description Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations for our Chennai operations. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in compliance with accounting principles and local regulations in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Prepare and file statutory returns, including GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes, ensuring timely compliance with local tax laws in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing relevant financial data and insights for our Chennai operations. Maintain fixed asset records and ensure accurate depreciation calculations as per company policy and local regulations in Chennai. Handle petty cash transactions and maintain accurate records for our Chennai office. Skills Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures. Familiarity with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and other relevant accounting regulations in India. Experience in preparing and filing GST and TDS returns. Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, SAP Business One) commonly used in Chennai.
