Required Site Engineer - Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Supervision

• Monitor and supervise day-to-day construction or installation work at the site.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, quality standards, and safety norms.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials for uninterrupted progress on site.

2. Technical Execution

• Interpret technical drawings, site layouts, and design specifications.
• Check alignment, levels, formwork, concreting, rebar installation, plumbing, electrical, or MEP works (as applicable).
• Verify contractor and subcontractor work for accuracy and compliance.

3. Planning & Coordination

• Work with the project manager and consultants for scheduling and execution planning.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, vendors, and suppliers for technical clarifications.
• Track progress against project timelines and escalate delays or issues proactively.

4. Quality Assurance & Safety

• Conduct material inspections, cube tests, steel testing, and maintain QA/QC documentation.
• Ensure safety practices are followed on site including PPE usage and safe work procedures.
• Keep site clean, organized, and in compliance with local construction norms.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), material records, and labor deployment logs.
• Report work progress, hindrances, and material requirements to the project manager.
• Support in preparing measurement books (MBs), bill checking, and contractor billing.

6. Site Handover & Closure

• Participate in final snag list inspections and rectifications before handover.
• Assist in commissioning activities and documentation during project closure.
