Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through field visits, cold calling, online inquiries, local market visits, events, and referrals.
  • Build a pipeline of prospective customers for rooftop solar, ground-mounted systems, or off-grid solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess roof conditions, shading, and customer energy consumption.

2. Client Consultation and Solution Design:

  • Engage with customers to understand their energy needs, electricity bills, and budget constraints.
  • Educate clients about the benefits of solar energy, available government subsidies, and long-term cost savings.
  • Coordinate with the technical/pre-sales team to design the optimal solar power system based on client requirements.

3. Quotations and Proposal Preparation:

  • Prepare and present customized quotations, financial models, and ROI analyses for prospective clients.
  • Explain system specifications, capacity, price breakdowns, warranties, and financing options.
  • Ensure proposals comply with regulatory, technical, and subsidy standards.

4. Sales Conversion and Negotiation:

  • Follow up on leads and guide potential customers through the decision-making process.
  • Handle objections and negotiate prices, terms, and payment schedules within company policies.
  • Close sales deals and ensure customer satisfaction at every step of the buying process.

5. Post-Sales Coordination:

  • Coordinate with the operations, engineering, and installation teams for timely execution of solar projects.
  • Keep clients updated on progress during the installation and commissioning phase.
  • Ensure smooth handover of the system, final payments, and documentation (warranty, AMC, net-metering, etc.).

6. Market Research and Reporting:

  • Stay informed about competitor offerings, government policies, and solar energy trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, quotations, and deals in CRM or sales tracking tools.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance and forecasts to management.

7. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business, referrals, and brand advocacy.
  • Address customer queries, concerns, and service requests even after installation.
  • Participate in customer awareness campaigns, community outreach, and solar awareness programs.
