Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented OT Technician to support surgical teams and ensure smooth functioning of operation theatre procedures. The OT Technician will be responsible for preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons during procedures, maintaining sterile conditions, and managing surgical instruments and equipment. The ideal candidate must have technical expertise, the ability to handle high-pressure situations, and a strong understanding of infection control protocols. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment for patients and clinical staff.

Prepare and maintain operation theatre before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment according to protocols.

Assist surgeons and nursing staff with gowning, gloving, and surgical draping.

Ensure the availability of required instruments, materials, and equipment for each surgery.

Handle surgical instruments during operations, maintaining sterility and safety.

Operate and monitor OT equipment such as suction machines, diathermy units, and surgical lights.

Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards.

Maintain records of OT consumables, equipment usage, and sterilization cycles.

Support in post-operative cleanup and readiness of the OT for the next case.
