Required Civil Engineer - Delhi

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Design:

• Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to understand project scope.
• Assist in the preparation of project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Participate in the design of civil infrastructure, including site layout, drainage, structural components, and utility networks.
• Use engineering software (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, etc.) to prepare structural drawings and models.
• Conduct site surveys and analyze geographical data to assess the feasibility of proposed construction.

2. Site Supervision and Execution:

• Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure work is progressing according to design, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor contractor and labor activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
• Resolve on-site issues related to design changes, materials, or labor coordination.
• Ensure that all civil work such as excavation, foundation, RCC, steelwork, masonry, plastering, and finishing are executed correctly.

3. Quality Control and Safety:

• Conduct quality checks on materials and workmanship at various stages of the project.
• Ensure adherence to IS codes, project specifications, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to test materials (cement, concrete, steel, etc.) and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Promote and enforce site safety practices and ensure that safety protocols are followed at all times.

4. Coordination and Communication:

• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, electrical/mechanical engineers, and vendors.
• Liaise with local authorities for permits, inspections, and compliance with building codes.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager and senior management.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support and updates.

5. Estimation and Billing:

• Prepare quantity take-offs and bill of quantities (BOQs) for tendering and procurement.
• Assist in evaluating contractor quotations and verifying work done for billing and certification.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and work progress for project billing and audits.
• Help prepare cost variation reports and monitor project expenditures.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain site logs, inspection reports, material test records, and daily progress reports.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly project status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and filed as per internal guidelines.
