Required Accountant - Bangalore

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure financial accuracy, and support the organization s financial planning and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a finance team. As an integral part of the Finance Department, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, assisting with audits, managing taxation tasks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and vouchers.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and post journal entries in accounting systems.
• Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and customer ledgers regularly.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all receipts, payments, and general ledger entries.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors and service providers.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with clients/customers for due payments.
• Maintain a schedule of receivables and payables to manage cash flow effectively.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.

3. Taxation and Compliance

• Prepare and file statutory returns such as GST, TDS, Income Tax, and PF/ESI as applicable.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with local/state/federal tax regulations.
• Maintain tax records and support internal/external audits and assessments.
• Coordinate with CA or tax consultants for filings and documentation.

4. Payroll Processing (If Applicable)

• Assist in processing monthly salaries, reimbursements, and employee benefits.
• Ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory liabilities.
• Maintain employee payment records and issue salary slips or Form 16 when required.

5. Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Provide financial data and insights to management for decision-making.
• Analyze variances and trends to identify financial risks or opportunities.

6. Audit and Internal Controls

• Assist in the preparation of documentation for statutory and internal audits.
• Support implementation and monitoring of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of financial records and documents.

7. Software and Tools Management

• Operate accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems.
• Maintain digital records and backups of all financial data.
• Generate reports and summaries using Excel or accounting platforms.
