We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to join our team at a growing software services company. This role requires a PM who will actively participate in sales calls and play a key role in converting potential clients by understanding their requirements and shaping a clear, technically sound project scope. You will serve as a bridge between the client and our technical teams, ensuring client needs are fully understood and translated into a technical scope for development.Responsibilities:Client Engagement and Sales Suppot :- Participate in client meetings, including initial sales calls, to gather requirements and understand their business objectives.- Act as a subject matter expert, guiding clients in articulating their requirements, challenges, and goals for proposed software solutions.Requirements Gathering and Analysis:- Conduct detailed requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders to identify and clarify client needs.- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and functional requirements.Technical Scope Documentation:- Draft clear and comprehensive technical scopes that reflect the client s needs and align with company capabilities.- Ensure all necessary details are included, including project objectives, functional and non-functional requirements, timelines, and deliverables.Cross-functional Coordination:- Collaborate closely with the technical team to ensure a mutual understanding of requirements and technical feasibility.- Work with the sales team to develop client proposals and statements of work (SoWs) based on the defined scope.Market and Client Insights:- Conduct market research and stay informed of industry trends to provide insights during client discussions.- Continuously improve understanding of client industries to better tailor the scope and propose valuable solutions.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:- Maintain clear and organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final deliverables.- Share insights and best practices with the sales and technical teams to support the refinement of future sales and technical scopes.Qualifications :Experience: 2-4 years of experience as a Product Manager or Business Analyst, preferably in a software services company, with exposure to client interactions.Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of software development processes and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles and handling sales calls.Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to dissect complex business needs into executable technical scopes.- Collaborative Approach: Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration with technical, sales, and other stakeholders.- Experience in preparing technical scope documents, SoWs, or similar project documentation.- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
