Job Description
Business Development:
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Indian defence sector.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the Ministry of Defence, defence PSUs, and private defence companies.
3. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
Sales and Account Management:
1. Manage and grow existing accounts within the defence sector.
2. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
3. Negotiate contracts and close deals.
4. Provide technical and commercial support to clients.
Defence Sector Expertise:
1. Leverage deep knowledge of defence procurement processes, regulations, and industry trends.
2. Stay updated on the latest defence technologies and requirements.
3. Represent the company at defence exhibitions, conferences, and industry events.
Reporting and Analysis:
1. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
2. Track and analyse sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
3. Provide feedback to the management team on market trends and customer needs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business Development, Business Admiration, or related field.
2. Proven track record of success in sales and business development within the same industrial sector.
3. Minimum 10 years of experience in defence sales or related fields.
4. Strong understanding of defence procurement processes and regulations.
5. Established network of contacts within the Indian defence industry.
6. (DPSU s) Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as pert of a team.
7. Previous experience in the Indian Armed Force is highly desirable.
Preferred Additional Skills
1. Knowledge of advance defence procurement procedures.
2. Experience in Government tendering processes
3. Familiarity with export and import regulations.
4. Knowledge of DPSU structure and procurement practices.
