HVAC Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise and manage all HVAC installation activities on the site as per project requirements.
• Monitor the day-to-day work of technicians, fitters, and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely installation of ducting, piping, insulation, equipment (AHU, FCU, Chiller, VRF units), etc.
• Conduct site inspections to verify the progress and quality of work.

2. Project Coordination

• Coordinate with other site engineers (civil, electrical, plumbing) to resolve technical issues.
• Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors to discuss progress and technical matters.
• Collaborate with the design and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of HVAC materials and equipment.

3. Drawings & Documentation

• Review HVAC shop drawings, schematic diagrams, and coordination layouts.
• Interpret MEP drawings to guide installation and routing of HVAC systems.
• Maintain proper documentation of work done, materials used, and as-built records.

4. Quality Control & Safety

• Ensure installation is performed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Check material quality, alignment, insulation thickness, duct support spacing, and proper sealing.
• Implement health and safety protocols at the site for all HVAC-related work.

5. Testing & Commissioning

• Assist in the testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for installation, testing, and handover.
• Identify snags or defects and ensure timely rectification before final handover.

6. Reporting & Site Updates

• Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports and submit to project managers.
• Track labor deployment, equipment usage, and material inventory.
• Communicate regularly with office teams for technical queries, procurement delays, or design changes.
