About AkunkaAkunka is a premium, plant-powered functional food brand on a mission to close the global plant consumptionRole SummaryWe re looking for a young hustler with heart and hunger. As our Key Account Manager, you ll be responsible for -- Identify, pitch and close partnerships across Horeca, Modern Trade, Pharmacies, and Pop-Ups- Drive product placement, reorders and in-store visibility- Ensure smooth onboarding, product education, and operations- Be the go-to person for buyers and staff- Run pilots, test new formats and report insights- Plan activation strategies and sampling events- Maintain lead funnel and track conversions- Coordinate with production and logistics for timely delivery- Share weekly reports on performance and learningsWho You Are- 0-2 years experience, preferably in D2C/FMCG/sales/startup- Generalist mindset - curious, fast learner, and thrives in ambiguity- Strong communication & relationship-building skills- Passionate about food, wellness, and meaningful change- Self-starter - figures things out independently- Comfortable visiting outlets, cold-pitching, being on the fieldBonus Points If You Have- Run a side hustle or campus project in food, events, or content- Prior exposure to retail, sampling events, or B2B/B2C sales- Understanding of nutritional or plant-based productsWhat You ll Get- A front-row seat in building a next-gen food brand- Freedom to test, grow, and build your own playbook- Mentorship from founder & core team- Competitive compensation variable bonus- A cause you can proudly stand behind (ref:updazz.com)
