Work Location: In person Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping and Transaction Management:
   • Accurately record and maintain all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management.
   • Ensure all transactions are correctly classified and recorded in the accounting system according to company policies and accounting standards.
   • Monitor and reconcile monthly statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
2. Invoice and Payment Processing:
   • Prepare and process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and customer billing in an efficient and timely manner.
   • Verify accuracy of invoices and expense reports before submission for approval.
   • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
3. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
   • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
   • Generate routine financial reports such as trial balances, cash flow statements, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets for management review.
   • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or improved financial performance.
4. Compliance and Audit Support:
   • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings, regulatory reports, and internal control procedures.
   • Support internal and external auditors during audits by preparing necessary documentation, schedules, and explanations.
   • Implement and maintain controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting Assistance:
   • Collaborate with finance managers and department heads to gather budget inputs and assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
   • Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for significant differences between actual and budgeted figures.
   • Support periodic reviews and revisions of financial plans as required.
6. Payroll and Taxation:
   • Process payroll data in coordination with HR to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
   • Maintain records of employee deductions, benefits, and statutory contributions.
   • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, VAT filings, and other statutory compliance documents.
7. Process Improvement and Systems Management:
   • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
   • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and ERP systems.
   • Train and assist junior accounting staff or interns as needed.
