Customer Development Engineer - Internal Mechanical Engineer

CUSTOMER DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - INTERNAL MECHANICAL ENGINEER.

Candidate should be diploma or degree mechanical engineer. Job profile would include meeting customers, introducing our company and our product concepts, understanding their requirements and catering to them accordingly. The job would involve travelling in and around Gujarat. He would be trained by the company regarding our concepts and products. The candidate should be open to learning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Requirement Analysis
   • Interact with customers to understand their mechanical engineering needs, technical challenges, and expectations.
   • Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for the design and production teams.
   • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers.
2. Engineering Solutions & Product Development
   • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design, modify, or customize products based on client feedback.
   • Ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
   • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare proposals/technical documentation.
3. Customer Support & Relationship Management
   • Act as a point of contact between customers and internal teams for technical queries.
   • Provide training, demonstrations, and product knowledge sessions to customers.
   • Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
4. Project Coordination & Delivery
   • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, R&D, production, and quality control) to ensure timely delivery of customer projects.
   • Monitor project execution and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
   • Troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions during project implementation.
5. Continuous Improvement & Feedback
   • Gather customer feedback to identify product improvement opportunities.
   • Support innovation by providing insights into customer needs and industry trends.
   • Participate in testing, quality checks, and product performance evaluation.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles (design, manufacturing, materials, thermodynamics, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Ability to translate customer needs into engineering solutions.
• Project management and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of ERP systems and documentation practices.
• Customer-centric approach with a focus on quality and innovation.
