Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, managing payroll, and supporting the finance team in budgeting and financial analysis. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of accounting principles, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all company transactions.
   • Record all day-to-day financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and journal entries, in the accounting system.
   • Ensure all entries are compliant with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
   • Process invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure timely payment to vendors.
   • Generate customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
   • Maintain vendor and customer accounts to ensure accurate balances and timely reconciliations.
3. Bank and Cash Management:
   • Reconcile bank statements with the company s ledger on a monthly basis.
   • Monitor cash flow, manage petty cash, and ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations.
   • Coordinate with banks for financial transactions, fund transfers, and other banking activities.
4. Financial Reporting:
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
   • Analyze financial data and provide insights on cost control, revenue trends, and operational efficiency.
   • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting by providing accurate financial data and reports.
5. Taxation and Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with local taxation laws, including GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
   • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
   • Maintain necessary documentation and records for audits and regulatory inspections.
6. Auditing and Internal Controls:
   • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial records and documentation.
   • Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
   • Identify areas of improvement in financial processes and recommend corrective actions.
7. Payroll Management:
   • Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule, including deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements.
   • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations.
   • Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and tax-related matters.
8. Software and Technology Utilization:
   • Proficiently use accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems.
