Required Electrical Engineer - Chennai

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Design & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems, circuits, and components .
• Prepare schematics, diagrams, and layouts using software like AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or MATLAB.
• Conduct load calculations, short circuit analysis, and system sizing for projects.
• Recommend equipment specifications, electrical components, and materials for projects.

2. Installation & Commissioning

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems at project sites.
• Ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and quality parameters .
• Troubleshoot issues during installation and provide technical solutions .

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Monitor electrical systems for performance, efficiency, and safety compliance .
• Diagnose faults and implement preventive and corrective maintenance .
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements .
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits for electrical systems.
• Promote safe work practices and awareness among team members .

5. Project Support & Documentation

• Assist in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling .
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation .
• Coordinate with design, production, and project teams for timely completion of tasks.

6. Continuous Learning & Innovation

• Stay updated with latest electrical technologies, industry standards, and best practices .
• Recommend process improvements, energy-efficient solutions, and innovative electrical designs .
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and skill enhancement programs .

Required Skills & Competencies

1. Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, control systems, and power distribution .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, ETAP, or equivalent design and simulation software .
• Understanding of transformers, motors, generators, switchgear, and electrical safety devices .

2. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

• Ability to analyze complex electrical problems and provide effective solutions.
