We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team. As an Academic Counsellor, you will serve as a mentor and advisor, helping students understand their strengths, explore opportunities, and choose the right academic pathways.

The position involves interacting with prospective students and parents, providing accurate information about courses, programs, and admission processes. You will be responsible for counselling students on career options, admission requirements, and skill development opportunities, ensuring they select programs that align with their goals.

In addition, you will support the admissions team by managing inquiries, maintaining records, and ensuring timely follow-ups. You will also collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to address student concerns, schedule counselling sessions, and track academic progress. By providing personalized guidance, you will play a key role in increasing student satisfaction, retention, and overall institutional success.

Key Responsibilities:

Counsel students and parents on academic programs, courses, and career opportunities.

Assist students in selecting the right program based on their interests and aptitude.

Provide guidance on admission processes, eligibility, and documentation.

Maintain accurate records of student inquiries, counselling sessions, and conversions.

Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions, presentations, and career awareness workshops.

Follow up with students to ensure smooth admissions and enrollment.

Collaborate with faculty and staff to resolve student-related issues.

Skills & Requirements:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Empathy, patience, and ability to motivate students.

Knowledge of academic programs, career trends, and admission processes.

Proficiency in MS Office and student database management.

Bachelor s degree required; Master s degree or counselling certification preferred.
