Engineer Expert in Breakdown Analysis & Tool Correction Job Description Focus Skills: The future of precision manufacturing relies on zero unplanned downtime and hyper-efficient tooling assets. The role of the Breakdown Technician in the Tool Room is evolving into a key specialist position, leveraging advanced diagnostics, real-time machine data, and rapid repair methodologies to ensure specialized tools (molds, dies, fixtures) are returned to service quickly, minimizing production halts Desired Outcomes: You will be responsible for immediate response, diagnosis, and repair of all unforeseen failures (breakdowns) affecting production molds, dies, fixtures, and Tool Room machinery (e.g., CNC machines, EDM, grinding machines). Your expertise in fault finding (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems), your ability to perform precision dismantling and reassembly, and your strong knowledge of tool steel refurbishment and tolerance measurement will be crucial. You will meticulously document all breakdown root causes and follow-up with the Maintenance team to implement permanent corrective actions (CAPA), directly minimizing recurrence and improving overall equipment reliability.
