Key Account Manager - Aqua- Location: Guntur- Industry: Seafood / Aquaculture / Agri Business- Experience: 10 Years- Domain: Aqua / Seafood / FisheriesJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager - Aqua with strong exposure to the seafood value chain, including export-import marketing, fisheries project management, and supply chain operations. The role requires deep expertise in shrimp and seafood businesses, international markets, factory operations, certifications, and value-added products. The ideal candidate will drive business growth, manage key accounts, and lead strategic initiatives across the aqua ecosystem.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Market Development:- Manage seafood export sales, wholesale and retail sales, and service-based sales.- Conduct market studies, surveys, analysis, and cost-benefit assessments for seafood projects.- Handle export sales to international markets including USA, Middle East, and Europe for Vannamei shrimp and fresh seafood products.- Drive value-added product (VAP) marketing across global markets.- Prepare market forecasts, pricing strategies, and negotiate prices with exporters and customers.- Participate in seafood and food exhibitions for marketing, branding, and business development.Sourcing, Procurement & Supply Chain:- Oversee seafood sourcing, procurement, distribution, and end-to-end supply & value chain management.- Ensure timely movement of stocks, accurate sales forecasting, and inventory planning.- Manage documentation related to procurement, exports, and regulatory compliance.Fisheries Project Management:- Lead fisheries and aquaculture projects, including technical consultancy for seafood processing, VAP, and farms.- Manage project planning, execution, and coordination for seafood processing units.Factory Operations & Quality:- Handle seafood factory operations, processing activities, and new product development (NPD/VAP) for shrimp.- Manage third-party audits and certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000.- Coordinate factory approvals, subsidy claims, and compliance with MPEDA, EIC, and other regulatory bodies.- Ensure quality assurance, inspections, and adherence to customer-specific quality standards.- Maintain product recall procedures and address customer complaints effectively.Required Skills & Competencies:- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end seafood value chain management.- Proven expertise in international marketing of fresh and value-added seafood products.- Excellent negotiation, pricing, and stakeholder management skills.- Ability to identify and penetrate new markets and business opportunities.- Experience in managing primary and secondary sales and competitor analysis.- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.- Effective people management, team building, and leadership capabilities.- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.- Willingness to travel for short and long assignments as required.Education:- Master s in Industrial Fisheries / BaFS with 10 years of experience, OR- MBA with 10 years of experience in the seafood / aqua industry (ref:updazz.com)
