Maintenance and Repair: To restore operational condition, disassemble malfunctioning equipment, locate worn-out components, and carry out repairs or replacements. Fastening & Joining: As directed by the design, fasten components with bolts, screws, rivets, or simple soldering/brazing methods. Pipe Fitting & Hydraulics: Design and install valves, hydraulic/pneumatic fittings, and pipework for industrial systems. Focus Skills: Hand Tool Mastery: Skillful hand metalworking with files, chisels, hacksaws, taps, and dies. Precision Accuracy: The capacity to ensure that pieces fit precisely by working within strict tolerances, frequently up to 0.02mm. Mechanical aptitude: a thorough comprehension of the interactions between gears, bearings, shafts, and pulleys in a system. Material Knowledge: Being aware of the characteristics of various metals, such as brass, steel, and aluminum, and how they react to heat and cutting.
