Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Planning: Check wear metrics, structural alignments, and mechanical clearances when carrying out and auditing planned preventive maintenance (PM) procedures on production equipment. Predictive Condition Monitoring: To identify possible component issues before they cause line stoppages, do routine predictive maintenance inspections using vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and motor current signatures. Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA): Conduct formal engineering investigations into high-severity or chronic equipment failures, deploying long-term engineering updates with tools like Fishbone Diagrams and 5-Why. Utility and Infrastructure Stewardship: Oversee the ongoing operation and testing of vital plant utilities, such as DG sets, industrial chillers, cooling towers, centralized air compressors, and electrical substations. Required Skills: Multidisciplinary Engineering Diagnostic Literacy: Excellent working fluency with both electrical and mechanical components. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Circuit Fluency: Expertise in deciphering intricate industrial fluid-power schematics, diagnosing cylinder pressure losses, and troubleshooting proportional valves. Engineering Technical Blueprint Fluency: The capacity to interpret cross-sectional assembly charts, structural wiring diagrams, and detailed machine construction drawings. High-Risk Workshop Safety & LOTO Discipline: Strict adherence to industrial safety regulations, including strict enforcement of hot-work clearances, confined-space licenses, and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
