Production Manager Strategy and Running of Plant Job Description Experience: 8 to 10 yrs Salary: Based on Company Norms Education: Diploma/BE in Mech Location: In And Around Chennai Your Duties: End-to-End Plant activities Leadership: Establish complete operational accountability among production engineers, supervisors, and technical staff by directing, motivating, and managing all factory floor activities over several shifts. Strategic Capacity & Resource Planning: To balance equipment run-times with changing market demand estimates, develop and assess mid-to-long-term plant capacity models in collaboration with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). Manufacturing Cost Control & P&L Defense: Oversee the plant's operating budget, finding and removing cost leaks caused by wasteful use of raw materials, excessive overtime, tool deterioration, and utility usage. Advanced Lean & Six Sigma Deployment: Oversee plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing automated production technologies, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping (VSM) to methodically eliminate plant waste.
