Quality Engineer Providing Error-Free Production Job Description Responsibilities: Administration of the Quality Management System (QMS): To ensure complete compliance, maintain, enforce, and audit plant floor activities against worldwide standards. Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): For new component launches, create and submit thorough PPAP documentation, such as Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Root Cause Failure Investigation: To permanently eradicate the root cause of production failures, lead structured corrective and preventative action (CAPA) engineering teams using 8D techniques, 5 Whys, and fishbone diagrams. Gauge R&R and Metrology Validation: Manage precision measuring equipment, oversee calibration schedules, and perform Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) to confirm gauge accuracy. Supplier Quality Accountability: To guarantee raw material consistency, audit shipments from outside vendors, record incoming material rejections, and submit Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
