AR Analyst Medical Collections & AR Analysis Job Description The AR Analyst Medical Billing manages advanced revenue cycle management RCM analytics, complex claim denial resolution, trend analysis, payer appeal strategies, and outstanding accounts receivable balance recovery. Beyond routine claim follow-up, this role identifies systemic billing bottlenecks, analyzes aging buckets, enforces HIPAA and payer compliance guidelines, and executes targeted strategies to maximize provider collection yields and reduce Days in Accounts Receivable Responsibilities Complex Denial Analysis & Trend Identification: Analyze root causes behind medical claim rejections, complex clinical denials medical necessity, bundling, experimental procedures, and payer recoupment demands using ANSI remark and reason codes. Appeals Strategy & Dispute Resolution: Research, draft, and submit formal clinical and administrative appeal packages, second-level reconsiderations, and ERISA grievances within payer-specific timely filing limits TFL. AR Aging Portfolio Management: Oversee aging ledgers, segment outstanding accounts receivables by payer, practice specialty, and denial type, and formulate targeted collection campaigns to resolve high-value claims. Payment Variance & Contractual Review: Review EOBs/ERAs to identify underpayments, illegal balance billing, contractual write-off discrepancies, and clearinghouse transmission errors against fee schedules. RCM Analytics & Process Optimization: Maintain master AR tracking spreadsheets, build denial trend reports, track key performance indicators First Pass Yield, DAR, Net Collection Rate, and recommend corrective billing workflows to front-end coding and billing teams Skills: Education: Bachelor&rsquos Degree in Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Commerce BCom, Finance, Computer Applications BCA, or equivalent professional diploma. Experience: 3 to 6+ years of hands-on experience as an AR Analyst, Senior RCM Executive, Denial Specialist, or Medical Billing Analyst handling U.S. Healthcare processes.
