Payment Posting Executive Payment Operations Job Description: Responsibilities: ERA & EOB Processing: Post high-volume electronic remittance advices 835 ERA and manual Explanation of Benefits EOB statements across primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance payers. Payment Allocation & Adjustment Ledgering: Accurately post check payments, EFT/ACH deposits, credit card payments, and write-offs record contractual adjustments, co-pays, deductibles, non-covered amounts, and patient balances. Reconciliation & Balancing: Conduct daily batch reconciliations matching posted payments and adjustments against bank deposit slips, merchant reports, and lockbox summaries to ensure 100% financial balancing. Variance & Denial Identification: Identify contractual underpayments, overpayments, duplicate payments, and claim denials during posting, assigning appropriate reason/remark codes CARC/RARC and routing non-payments to denial management teams.
