Data Entry Intern

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Entry & Maintenance
   • Accurately enter data from physical documents, forms, or reports into digital systems.
   • Update records in spreadsheets, databases, or specialized software.
   • Ensure completeness and correctness of all entries.
2. Data Verification & Quality Checks
   • Cross-check entered data against source documents.
   • Identify and correct errors in records to maintain accuracy.
   • Report inconsistencies or missing information to supervisors.
3. Documentation & Filing
   • Scan, organize, and file documents in both digital and physical formats.
   • Label and categorize records systematically for easy retrieval.
   • Assist in maintaining organized filing systems.
4. Support for Business Teams
   • Provide data entry support to finance, HR, sales, or operations teams.
   • Prepare simple reports or summaries as requested.
   • Assist in data collection for audits, surveys, or projects.
5. Administrative Assistance
   • Respond to basic queries regarding data entries.
   • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and client information.
   • Assist with clerical tasks such as printing, photocopying, and organizing files.

Skills & Competencies Required

1. Technical Skills
   • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
   • Comfort in using spreadsheets, data entry software, or ERP tools.
   • Typing speed with accuracy (25 40 words per minute preferred).
2. Attention to Detail
   • High focus on accuracy while entering large amounts of information.
   • Ability to detect inconsistencies, duplications, or missing data.
